I'm an independent researcher and digital publisher focused on helping internationally mobile students navigate academic systems, scholarships, and career transitions. I built CGPA Global because I got tired of watching talented graduates undersell themselves due to grade conversion confusion. Every resource on this site is written to actually help โ€” not to rank on search engines for its own sake.

Why CGPA Global Exists

Every year, millions of students apply for opportunities abroad โ€” master's programmes, scholarships, jobs, professional certifications โ€” and run into the same wall: their grade means nothing to the institution they're applying to unless it can be translated into a system that institution understands.

The existing solutions are either expensive (formal credential evaluation from WES or NARIC costs $100โ€“$200 and takes weeks), incomplete (most free tools only handle one or two grading systems), or outdated (many tools use formulas that were accurate ten years ago but haven't been updated to reflect recent law changes or academic standard shifts).

CGPA Global is free, covers 50 countries, and is updated whenever any country's academic grading regulations change. The tool uses a single elegant principle โ€” converting every grade to a universal percentage first, then mapping that percentage to the target system โ€” which means all 2,450 possible country-to-country conversions are always consistent with each other.

How the Formulas Are Sourced

Every conversion formula on CGPA Global is derived from official sources: national education ministry guidelines, university academic regulations, and internationally recognised equivalency frameworks (WES, NARIC/Ecctis, anabin). Where a country has multiple systems in use (India, Singapore, Nigeria), we document each variant and let users select the one that matches their institution.

Important caveat: our conversions are designed for informational and planning purposes. For formal applications that require third-party credential evaluation, we always recommend obtaining an official evaluation from a recognised organisation. Our tool helps you understand where you stand โ€” it does not replace an official document.

The Educational Guides

Beyond the converter, CGPA Global publishes in-depth guides on scholarships, university admissions, career planning, and student life for internationally mobile students. Every article is research-backed, written in plain language, and focused on practical outcomes. We do not publish filler content to inflate our article count. We publish guides that we would want to read ourselves if we were in our readers' situations.
